Africa Safari delights

In February this year, Carolyn and I took a trip to Tanzania and Kenya for a photo safari with professional photographer Paul Renner as our guide.  We went with good friends George and Bette Harper who shared the wonderful adventure with us. The opportunities for wildlife photography are unrivaled in this area of Africa.  It is home to the “great migration” of wildebeest herds and abundant with predators that follow the herd.  Better still, our safari took place during the birthing season, so we had the opportunity to see the young offspring of many species. Safe to once again call another safari the trip of a lifetime! See more photos in the Africa...

Autumn Trip Through France

This Fall, Carolyn and I had a great driving trip through the Normandy, Brittany and Loire regions of France.   We flew in to Paris to spend a few days at the start of our trip and enjoyed the art galleries and dining. People were friendly everywhere.  Our favorite spot was Brittany for the unspoiled beauty throughout the countryside. See more photos in the Potpourri  Collection....

The Pelicans of La Jolla

January is a great time to head down to La Jolla Cove and photograph the pelicans.  During the winter months, the pelicans are in their full winter plumage.  With the scenic background of the cobalt ocean and blue skies, the colorful pelicans really stand out!  This spot also is home to cormorants that nest in the nearby cliffs, and sea lions that frolic in the ocean below. See more photos of these Pelicans in the Potpourri...
