Undersea Treasures Collection
I was certified as a scuba diver in 1993 and began taking underwater photos in 1995. The challenge of navigating into position underwater to photograph a shy fish or turtle is just the beginning of the challenges facing a scuba diver with a camera.
Getting the desired underwater shot requires close attention to camera settings, insuring the strobe flash units are positioned correctly, as well as stealth to avoid spooking the subject! My underwater camera gear includes a Nikon D200, a Sea and Sea camera housing, strobe lights, a Nikon 28-70 lens and a Nikon 60mm macro lens.
The photos in this collection highlight tropical reef scenes and resident sea life. Carolyn and I like diving in warm waters, so the images shown represent scenes from Hawaii, the Caribbean, and Indonesia.
