Hummingbirds are found only in the Americas. The number of hummingbird species increases as you near the equator; Alaska has only one species, while Ecuador claims 137! The images in this collection include hummingbirds photographed in California, Arizona, Costa Rica, and Ecuador.
The photos in this collection highlight tropical reef scenes and resident sea life. Carolyn and I like diving in warm waters, so the images shown represent scenes from Hawaii, the Caribbean, and Indonesia.
My interest in sports is centered on youth sports and local competitions. Several photos featured in this section come from local swim meets, surfing contests, and the bike races in Dana Point.
This collection of photos represents an assortment from photo competitions, subjects which don’t fit in other collections, and images than have been altered in their appearance. No strict rules govern inclusion in this grab-bag of images.
